I don't have a computer or scanner at
home. How can apply?
Port Washington Parking District
staff will be available to assist you with your online user profile during the
hours of 6 am to 9:45 am, Monday through
Friday.
I can't upload my documents using my iPhone/iPad?
You must access your account from Google Chrome, from app store download Google Chrome web browser.
Will I need a permit to
park in the Commuter District lots all the time?
No. You will be able to park without a permit from 3pm to 3am, Monday through
Friday. Weekends are also not restricted.
What do I do if I
received a parking ticket?
Parking tickets are issued by the Town of North Hempstead Parking Enforcement or the Port Washington
Police Department. The Parking District has no jurisdiction to adjudicate
or collect parking tickets. Please follow the directions on the reverse side of
the ticket.
Which holidays are
parking restrictions not in effect?
New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday, Lincoln's Birthday,
Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day,
Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Are there commuting alternatives?
Yes, bike lockers are now available. Individual bicycle lockers are
located near the train station, in Lot 12. Lockers will be assigned on a
first come, first served basis.
The lockers are durable and completely enclose the bicycle, protecting it from
rain and snow. There is also room for your helmet, riding shoes, and
other accessories.
